Climate change and extreme weather are immediate global concerns that worsen vulnerabilities and threaten the well-being of our communities. Our Environmental Protection sector tackles these challenges through targeted sustainable initiatives. We raise community awareness and advocate for environmental conservation for informed action. Our Transitional Clean Energy Solutions Project idea reduces reliance on biomass promoting sustainable energy use. Our Household-based fruit and tree-growing initiatives improve food security and environmental health. We create and rehabilitate green spaces to transform degraded areas into resourceful environments. Our monthly Environment Parliaments enable community members to discuss and address ecological issues collectively and our trained community link volunteers ensure broad community engagement and support. These comprehensive efforts build a resilient environment and enhance vulnerable populations' mental health and well-being in the Kyangwali Refugee Settlement and beyond.
